"You Know Yous Similar It" is a song by English language electronic music duo AlunaGeorge from their debut studio album, Body Music (2013). The track was released in the United Kingdom on 20 April 2012 as the album'southward lead single. The vocal peaked at number 39 on the Uk Singles Chart in Apr 2013 subsequently being used in a Tesco advertizement.

Timed with the release of the album, "You Know Yous Like Information technology" was re-released on 28 July 2013, equally a double A-side with "Bad Thought". It later on reached a new height position of number 39 in the UK Singles Nautical chart on 4 August 2013.

A remix past DJ Snake, which was also featured in the 2014 film The Amazing Spider-Man 2, additional the vocal's popularity in the United States, where it became a sleeper hit, peaking at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching number one on both the Billboard Trip the light fantastic/Mix Show Airplay[one] and Rhythmic charts.[ii]

Critical reception [edit]

The runway was met with very positive reviews upon its release. Pitchfork awarded the song their "Best New Music" tag.[iii]

Music video [edit]

A music video to back-trail the release of "You lot Know Yous Like It" was offset released onto YouTube on Baronial 31, 2011, at a total length of three minutes and 30 seconds.[4] The video is shot in black and white and features clips of Francis dancing.

A second music video was released on June 13, 2013, on YouTube and Vevo. The video shows the duo partying at an empty puddle intercut with clips on Francis dancing with backup dancers.

French DJ and producer DJ Snake released a remix of the runway in 2013. It was uploaded to AlunaGeorge's SoundCloud on July 22, 2013 every bit an official remix of the song,[14] but was subsequently released every bit a single on Oct 20, 2014. This version achieved more chart success in the U.s.a. and Europe than the original single.

Music video [edit]

The music video to back-trail the newest version of the song with DJ Snake has a length of 4:33. The video's protagonist is an ostensible humanoid chimpanzee who has thoughts of suicide due to missing the dear of his life and not plumbing fixtures in. Through the video he seems frustrated with his life, stalking the Instagram of his love and selling drugs. He walks to a gentlemen's club carrying a gun. There, he gets a lap dance to forget his worries, but gropes the dancer and gets browbeaten up by the bouncers. Afterwards he comes to a realization and decides to modify his ways. He throws the gun in the garbage.

Commercial performance [edit]

In the U.s.a., the song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 99.[fifteen] It peaked at number thirteen on June 27, 2015.[16]
